Rivertown Music & Craft Beer Festival

Conway Alive presents the Rivertown Music and Arts Festival this May. The street festival is home to a classic car show and now a craft beer tasting area. Take time to explore the live music and arts and crafts vendors. Admission is free.
Mayfest on Main Festival
Saturday, May 7
10 am to 6 pm
Main Street in North Myrtle Beach
The 11th annual Mayfest on Main Festival in North Myrtle Beach features live entertainment and family fun. The festival also offers arts, crafts, food, a children’s area, street entertainment and much, much more. Be sure to bring a chair or a blanket and enjoy the free concerts including the group “Starship” starring Mickey Thomas, best known as one of the lead vocalists of Jefferson Starship.
Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring Rally
Various locations throughout the Grand Strand
Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring Rally is set for May 13-22, 2016 and features bike shows, vendors, tours and more around the Grand Strand. Enjoy cruising daycations to Charleston or up to Wilmington, N.C.
Harley Davidson locations are hot-spots throughout the week along with hangouts like Jamin’ Leather, Beaver Bar, the Rat Hole, Suck Bang Blow, Myrtle Beach Speedway, Ocean Annie’s Beach Bar and many others. There’s also a Loop Tour that’s nearly 200 miles through Horry and Georgetown Counties.
Swamp Fox Biker Bash

The Swamp Fox Biker Bash promises 10 days full of fun! They’re hosting live music all day and all night, a burnout pit, Sunday Funday ride, contests, a Breakfast ride, obstacle courses, stunt riders, bike builds, Battle of the Bands, food, $2 draft beers and so much more. They offer tent and RV camping and a “Swamp” Meet to sell or trade parts.

World Famous Blue Crab Festival

The 35th annual Blue Crab Festival hosts lots of food, fun, arts, crafts and more! The event takes place along the beautiful Little River waterfront and hosts a kids’ area with tons of games and things to do.
Admission is $3 in advance or $5 in advance for a 2-day pass. Tickets at the door are $5/person. This event is family and biker-friendly.
Atlantic Beach Bike Week

Hit the road and drive up to North Myrtle Beach for Atlantic Beach Bike Week, also known as Black Bike Week. This motorcycle rally is held every year during Memorial Day weekend. Meet and greets, parties, live music and entertainment will be held throughout the weekend.

Lego Exhibit “Nature Connects”
March 5 – September 5
Brookgreen Gardens is hosting 12 larger-than-life LEGO® brick sculpture installations in its Native Wildlife Zoo. Created by Sean Kenney, renowned artist and children’s author, “Nature Connects, Art with LEGO® Bricks” is an award winning exhibit currently touring the country. Made from almost a half million LEGO® bricks, the sculptures bring nature to life with a 6-foot tall hummingbird hovering over a trumpet flower, a deer family made from 48,000 bricks, a giant tortoise, a 7-foot long giant dragonfly, and more. Butterfly House Open Daily
Whispering Wings Butterfly Experience
$3/adults, $2/child +garden admission
This seasonal exhibit features a lush garden filled with tropical plants where hundreds of butterflies soar through the air. Whispering Wings contains a pupae emergence room where you can observe the transformation from chrysalis to adult butterflies. The exhibit is open daily. Tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for children in addition to garden admission for a 30-minute timed visit.
1 pm Wednesdays in May and June
Ron Daise, Vice-President for Creative Education and a Gullah descendant, presents an entertaining and informative program about the culture, food, language, and history of the Gullah Geechee people. The program is located in the Wall Lowcountry Center Auditorium and is free with garden admission. Here’s a preview of the program in the video below:
Brookgreen staff and volunteers place flags throughout the gardens at patriotic sculpture and sculpture created by veterans. Printed information about these artists and their work is available at the Welcome Center.

Paint a Masterpiece: An Art Class

Paint and Unwined is coming from Murrels Inlet to teach you how to paint at our Resort! Join us as a professional artist assists you in creating your own painted masterpiece. La Belle Amie Vineyard Tour

10 am to 3 pm
Let us chauffeur you to La Belle Amie where you will enjoy a tour of their lush vineyard and, of course, taste the fruit of their labors with a wine tasting. Reservations required by 5 pm the Wednesday before (and strongly encouraged due to this event’s popularity) . Minimum of 4 people necessary for a trip with a maximum of 42 people. Sun Fun Festival
downtown Myrtle Beach
The Sun Fun Festival is back in Myrtle Beach after a five year hiatus! Activities planned include shag dance lessons, live concerts, a parade and more. The festival is held at the same time as the Native Suns Salt Games in downtown Myrtle Beach and serves as a kick-off to another great summer season.

This two-day event held on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5 is an action-packed celebration of life at the beach where competitors test their skills against one another in the water and on the sand.
The 2016 schedule includes the Beach Bum 5K, Beach Brawl Wrestling Tournament, BLVD Blowout Skateboard Competition, and a Junior Beach Volleyball Tournament.
Past year’s Salt Games drew more than 500 participants and 3,000 spectators for events like surfing, paddleboard racing, volleyball, lifeguard games, a kids run, hot dog eating contest, yoga, a crossfit challenge and a bikini contest.
In addition to the official games and contests, several mini-events and just for fun activities take place during the weekend, including cornhole tournaments, an open half pipe, a giant game of twister, Surfrider education zone and health food vendors.
Cool Summer Evenings

After a day at the beach, visit the gardens in the cool of the evening and enjoy concerts, kids programs and dinner in the Pavilion Restaurant. Entertainment and programs are included in garden admission. Creek Cruises are $8 in addition to admission.
Myrtle Beach Corvette Club Car Show

Broadway at the Beach
Rev those engines! Broadway at the Beach welcomes the 21st Annual Corvettes at Myrtle Beach Car Show. The Welcome Party kicks off the event on Friday, June 3rd at the Landmark Hotel (just a few minutes away from Plantation Resort). The Car Show is held on Saturday, June 4th at Broadway at the Beach south parking lot next to the Big D movie theater.

Plantation Resort’s Totally Turtles
$2 Donation (donations help our local sea turtle rescue)
Bring your youngsters to make an adorable turtle mosaic and learn something new about sea turtles! After the first mosaic, all extra mosaics are only $5. You may also purchase a frame for only $5.
