A Little Tie-Dye History
Tie-dye became popular during the Vietnam War period in the late 50s to early 70s. The psychedelic patterns and colors symbolized their individuality and protested the strict ideals of older generations. People craved freedom and peace, and the popular tie-dye trend gave them an opportunity for self expression. These young expressive artists tie-dyed everything from clothes to knick knacks around the house. Even today our guests enjoy bringing some of their own items to tie-dye such as bags, bandannas and even onesies. Create your very own tie-dye masterpiece at our Shirts to Dye For Activity at Plantation Resort.
