A Letter from Plantation Resort Regarding Hurricane Dorian
Dear Valued Guests and Owners,
Plantation Resort is within the cone of uncertainty for impacts from Hurricane Dorian. At this time, areas of Horry County (the county where Plantation Resort is located) are being evacuated. Plantation Resort is not under the evacuation order but, we are expecting inclement weather starting early Wednesday through Friday, including the possibility of Tropical Storm force winds and rain. Tropical Storm force winds may cause power outages, downed trees, flying debris, limited road access and limited essential amenities such as food and fuel. Most, if not all, attractions, restaurants, and entertainment venues are closing in preparation for the coming storm.
Please Consider Moving the Date of Your Reservation
Unless the storm takes a turn inland or the Governor of South Carolina issues a mandatory evacuation for our area, we will remain open. We suggest you choose another time after the storm has passed to stay with us. However, we encourage you to make the safest decision for you and your family regarding whether or not to visit us at this time. For reservations booked through 3rd parties (RCI, Wyndham, WorldMark, Expedia, Booking.com, etc.), you will need to contact your booking company to ask about their cancellation policies. We have maintained contact with our partners at these companies and they are fully aware of our situation.
Safety Is Our #1 Concern
The safety of our guests and employees is paramount at all times and we will update our website and social media outlets with any further announcements. Please continue to monitor reliable news sources for traffic and closure information.
After the storm passes, we will communicate with you again regarding the conditions of the Resort and the area. It is our hope to be able to begin normal operations by this weekend.
