On March 27th, the Horry County Council (0f the county where Plantation Resort is located) voted to close hotels in the area along with other vacation activities such as vacation rentals, mini golf courses, theaters, and amusement parks. We want to do our part in the fight against COVID-19, so to keep our guests safe, we’re closing our doors for a time. This vote requires that we stay closed through the month of April. So what does this mean for our Plantation Resort guests?
- Any reservations scheduled for April will be cancelled and refunded. We’ll miss seeing you, so we hope you’ll turn these cancellations into rescheduled vacation reservations! Simply use the same booking agent that you originally scheduled with, and set the date for sometime past April. If you made your reservation through a 3rd party like booking.com or Expedia, feel free to contact our owner services team at 888-913-4477 or firstname.lastname@example.org since they have access to more inventory and will be better able accommodate your future reservation than a third party will.
- While we take a short break from accommodating guests, our owner services team is ready and waiting to take your calls for any questions you might have. Their number is 888-913-4477 or you may reach them via email at email@example.com. Please be patient with us since we are helping answer lots of questions during this time. They will respond to your voicemail if you leave them a message. In the message, please tell them the best phone number and best times to reach you so they can respond to your needs efficiently.
- All of our pools and facilities will be closed for the month of April.
- Shuttles will not run during this time.
As Brenda Bethune, the mayor of Myrtle Beach, has said, “If we don’t take action now, this is going to eat into our peak season, so we need to make the hard decisions up front and early. The only way we’re going to get to the recovery phase of this and get our season back up and running is if we shorten the length of this virus.”
Plantation Resort is closed for April, but we’re excited to hopefully come back in May. We’ll be using this time to spruce up and sanitize your “home away from home” and we want you to enjoy it! So for now, we’ll be singing happy birthday while we wash our hands and wait for your return.
Our desire is for you to stay safe so that we can see you again as soon as possible. To keep up-to-date on the latest that’s happening at Plantation Resort, please follow us on our social media, especially Facebook.
