Exciting News!
We are pleased to announce a new era at Plantation Resort. At the beginning of the new year, Plantation Resort will be renamed Grand Palms Resort. This name change shifts emphasis from the Resort’s location within the Deerfield Plantation community to the unparalleled vacation experiences that the Resort has provided over the last 42 years for thousands of visiting families and owners.
Palms are Part of our DNA
In 2004 the Resort began a landscape renovation that replaced many aging pines and deciduous trees with tropical Sabal palms (technically known as palmettos). These palms line the roadways and surround the pools and recreation areas within the Resort. The palm tree has served as part of the Resort logo over the last decade. It is fitting that our new name, Grand Palms Resort, also reflects our beautiful surroundings and better expresses our mission of delivering a higher level of extraordinary vacation experience for guests and owners for years to come.
New Name Ushers in a New Era of Vacations
“The last few years have brought exciting changes to the Resort,” says Blaine Liljenquist, CEO. “Our partnership with Wyndham Destinations enables us to offer new vacation opportunities to our owners. The beautiful, new check-in building that opened in March 2020 heralds a new level of quality that will continue in Resort-wide upgrades over the coming years. And the new Grand Palms Resort name reflects our mission to deliver exceptional service, luxury and relaxation to every guest and owner.”
Come Enjoy All of What Grand Palms Resort Represents
This change will happen gradually over the next several months. As resort directories, websites, and social media channels are updated, you may also see the phrase “formerly Plantation Resort” added to the new logo.
Watch for more updates over the coming months, including an updated look to our social media channels, blog and website. We look forward to your next visit when we can share with you all the enjoyment symbolized by our new name Grand Palms Resort.
As a new owner, I am very excited about the name change. I can’t hardly wait for my first vacation at The Grand Palms Resort.
We’re so excited for you to come Brenda! Thanks for being an owner with us.
OMGosh. This will be an adjustment for us as owners since 1998.
As an old timer owner, I was very pleasantly pleased with the changes I experienced a couple of weeks ago. I endured the “presentation” just so I could learn about Wyndham and their plan for the property. Being a week owner every other year I am more limited, but RCI still offers great deals. The biggest negative I see at Grand Palms Resort is massive numbers of people using Platt Boulevard to exit their housing development. A new stop light at 17 and Platt help, but the wait is still long.
I am very hopeful Wyndham is able to market our resort, sell more shares and keep maintenance fees low!
The new reception and sales areas are lovely. The people I delt with for check in and tickets were very helpful, friendly and courteous. Our unit (two bedroom) was well stocked, clean and attractively decorated.
I love vacationing in Myrtle Beach and Grand Palms Resort is a great place to stay!!!
Love Grand Palms Resort! The best people, the best facilities, the best vacation!
What does this mean for the owners that been there for years as or home resort? Hope no changes to our contracts? Thanks
It is only a name change! Everything remains the same except for the name.
I just left Grand Palms Resort today. My ex wife and I vacationed here with our children last December at the Plantation Resort and when I came with my boys in August, units I wanted wasnt available so now coming back to a brand new name/logo a year later- very nicely done.
What happen with the Wyndham-Plantation partnership?
This name change does not affect our partnership with Wyndham, legal documents, ownership or indicate any other changes within the
Resort.
Glad you enjoyed your stay with us! Hope to see you again soon!
