Island Fever Music

Enjoy an afternoon of music from Caribbean Cowboys and Stringwood. Sunshine and salty ocean breezes provide the perfect atmosphere for this fantastic event. You’ll find plenty of seating under the cabanas or the pavilion, on the decks or porches. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a little wine and lots of friendly folks. Bring a portable chair, or use one of theirs if you arrive early enough. Admission is reduced by $3 if you bring 2 canned/dry good food items for the area food bank. Festival dates are subject to change. Inclement weather may cause a last-minute postponement or cancellation, so check the website or call prior to coming to the event.

The Souper Supper is held by the American Culinary Foundation to raise scholarship money for students! Join The Myrtle Beach American Culinary Federation for the 21st annual Souper Supper at a brand new location – Broadway at the Beach. Nearly 50 chefs from around the area compete for two categories- Judges’ Choice and Overall Winner. Entries range from vegetarian and broth-based selections to seafood chowders and exotic flavors.
Festival of Trees

Ripley’s Aquarium
Ripley’s Aquarium Festival of Trees features beautifully decorated and themed Christmas trees. There’s one tree for each of the fifty states, from a Mardi Gras tree with masks and beads to a Las Vegas-style tree with a feather headdress. The South Carolina tree is over 18 feet tall and features sea shells, magnolias, golf balls plus Clemson and USC ornaments! Don’t miss the free scavenger hunt that tests your knowledge about each state’s tree.

The Dickens Christmas Show & Festivals is a unique national award winning event comprised of shopping and entertainment options for individuals and groups alike. The Dickens Christmas Show Holiday Shopping is Victorian Holiday themed with hundreds of period clad vendors hawking everything from jewelry, gifts, toys, arts and crafts, gourmet foods, holiday decor and more. There’s truly something for everyone on your holiday list. But the fun doesn’t stop there. Strolling Victorian Musicians, Tea Leaf Readers, Punch & Judy Shows, Shadow Box Displays, a Life Sized Historic Santa through the Ages Exhibit and a real live Santa, each lend their own charm to the show. Plus there are elaborate Festival displays of Trees, of Tables, of Wreaths Dickens Show Crafts and the Festival of Worlds that add to the experience too!
Snowball Drop

Approximately 1,500 ping-pong balls with store names and prize numbers written on them will be fired high into the air from a “snowball cannon.” After catching snowballs, participants visit the various shops to claim their coupon, special offer or gift. Snowball Drop participants are invited to gather on Laurel Street between 3rd & 4th Avenue to catch the snowballs as they rain down on waiting shoppers. But remember…don’t be late – the blizzard starts at 10:00 a.m. sharp! The first launch is for kids only and features small prizes from Conway Alive. The remaining launches are for adults only and feature 40+ Conway businesses. This event is free and open to the public. Conway Alive reminds participants that some attendees become very excited when the snowballs are launched and therefore pushing and running may occur during the event.

The Mythical & Medieval Fest is a Renaissance themed festival to raise money for Caleb’s Dragonfly Dreams. Caleb’s Dragonfly Dreams is a local non-profit in Myrtle Beach that provides positive activities to children that have been abused, abandoned or neglected and reside in group homes or shelters.
This noble charity provides you with a whimsical realm filled with a fairy forest, medieval combat, princesses, artisan’s village area, fire show and much more. This event is geared toward the whole family. Enjoy free activities like archery and Viking toss. Parents put your shillings away because everything inside the Children’s Realm is included with your paid admission. Sit on a hay bale and listen to musicians strum their guitars and play their flutes or watch blacksmiths form a bracelet from hard steel and glass blowers melt glass into a beautiful pendant.

You’ll find a train for the children on Deville as well as a balloon artist, face painter, carnival games and inflatables on Reed. The stage events begin with Ruckus Drumline in front of the Grand 14, followed by Beach Brass Quintet and Santa! Santa uses his magic to light the tree and after is found in his sleigh in front of The Grand 14 available for visits and pictures with the children. Vocal Edition choral group closes out the evening with holiday music.
